Our intermission from winter, is about to come to an end.
Old Man Winter will take center stage starting later Monday night, as an arctic blast, not too dissimilar from the bitter blast of early last week, makes it way through Western New York and the Finger Lakes.
In the meantime, this weekend will see a gradual drop in the temperature into the 20s and an increase in wind as well, especially on Sunday, when winds could gust upwards of 35 or 40 mph.
Both Saturday and Sunday will feature plenty of clouds and some flurries. A brief period of light snow is likely Saturday morning through early Saturday afternoon. Accumulations will be of little consequence amounting to only a sugar coating or a scant inch.
