The Sochi Winter Olympics are 20 days away. The NHL takes its Olympic break in 23 days, but four Sabres won’t be vacationing. They’ll be in Sochi. Before any of it, the Olympians spoke with News10NBC.

The Sabres are the worst team in the NHL. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for some. It leads to Sochi. Four Sabres have a chance to become winners during the Olympics’ 12 day hockey tournament, a playoff tournament. That’s something Buffalo hasn’t been a part of in three seasons.

USA’s Ryan Miller, Sweden’s Jhonas Enroth and Henrick Tallinder and Latvia’s Zemgus Gergensons will represent their countries. Rosters were announced over the past several weeks. For the first time, the Olympians sat down with the local NBC affiliates to talk about one of their hockey dreams coming true.
