A 47-year-old man is facing charges after police say he brandished a gun at another driver on the New York State Thruway.

Troopers tell News10NBC shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, they received a 911 call for a man brandishing a gun on the Thruway while driving through the Town of Victor. Police say Christopher Tyler of East Andover, Maine pulled up alongside another driver three times and waived a gun.

Troopers say they located Tyler parked at a Erie County rest area. Investigators say he was in possession of two loaded handguns – a .357 revolver and a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.

Tyler is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. He is being held in the Ontario County Jail.
