Frigid air and a stiffening north wind will create harsh winter conditions in the Rochester area through Wednesday.

Air temperatures will be within a few degrees of 0 much of the time, wind chills will be lowering to -20 and lake effect snow will accumulate a few inches through tomorrow in areas near and north of the Thruway. Many roads will be snow-covered and slick, and extra caution traveling is advised.

Another round of harsh winter weather is projected for the weekend.
