One of the main prosecutors handling Monroe County's LDC corruption case is leaving the attorney general's office for a new job.
William Schaeffer serves as the head of the Attorney General's Public Intergrity Bureauy. He's leaving to take a job with the Brooklyn District Attorney.
Schaeffer has been involved in the case against four men accused of misusing county funds and bid-rigging.
Nelson Rivera, John Maggio, Daniel Lynch and Robert Wiesner, who is the husband of Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, have been named in that investigation.
No word yet on what impact Schaeffer leaving the AG's office could have on the LDC case.
