A Rochester man has been sentenced in the stabbing death of his girlfriend's roommate.
The Monroe County District Attorney's office says a judge sentenced 44-year-old Antonio Ortiz Junior to 24 years to life behind bars.
Police say last April Ortiz went to his girlfriend's apartment on Seneca Manor Drive last April and stabbed 64-year-old William Fergus 46 times after stealing two flat screen TVs.
Prosecutors say Ortiz tried to claim he killed Fergus during a drug induced hallucination.
He was found guilty of second degree murder.
Prosecutors say Ortiz will begin serving his sentence immediately.
