It’s an exciting week for some students in Rochester, who will have the chance to see the vice president of the United States and his wife in person. The couple is expected to speak at MCC on Wednesday. They will be speaking at MCC about education and workforce development.

Edcuation is a topic that Dr. Jill Biden knows a lot about. Dr. Biden teaches English at a community college in Virginia and has travelled the country talking about how she believes community colleges are important to America’s future even calling them “one of America’s best kept secrets.”

Students at MCC say they’re looking forward to this visit.

Robin Angevine-Funderburk, MCC Student, "I'm super excited. It really promotes what we're doing here at MCC and also gets out the information that we need more funding to help the students.”

Anthony Brooks, MCC Student, said, "I'm pretty excited especially to hear what he's going to talk about. He's going to make it easier for people like me going to school for two year degrees and hopefully get out and get better jobs.”

The visit comes about five months after President Obama made a pit stop in Rochester. The White House not saying much about the Biden’s trip scheduled for Wednesday.
