There is some good news for Rochester’s Hickey Freeman.

Congresswoman Louise Slaughter announced Monday, she secured a provision in the Farm bill to improve, and extend the wool trust fund through 2019.

It’s a program that helps domestic apparel and textile companies, disadvantaged by unfair trade agreements by providing tariff refund payments.

Congresswoman Slaughter says  it  "keeps hundreds of good paying jobs in Rochester by ensuring American manufacturers like Hickey Freeman can compete with foreign companies by lessening the damaging impacts of past trade agreements."
