President Barack Obama's message to Congress tonight is likely to be that the federal government can play a key role in increasing opportunities for Americans who have been left behind and are unable to benefit from a recovering economy.
During his State of the Union address, Obama is expected to announce executive actions on job training, retirement security and help for the long-term unemployed in finding work.

You can see the State of the Union address and the republican response on News10NBC beginning at 9 p.m. We will have full coverage of the speech along with reaction from our representatives on News10NBC at 11 p.m.
