TAYLOR, a regional general contractor, has broken ground on two buildings for the University of Rochester's $100-million College Town project located at Mt. Hope and Elmwood Avenues.

Officials with TAYLOR say it will be responsible for two buildings which include construction of a four-story residential/retail building, featuring a two-story Barnes & Noble Bookstore, restaurants and shops and a three-story residential/retail building featuring street-level shops and restaurants.

In November, we learned Saxby’s Coffee, Insomnia Cookies and Flight Wine Bar, The Creator’s Hands, Corner Bakery Café, Panini’s Bar and Grill, Constantino's Market, Hairzoo, Canandaigua National Bank and Trust and Moe’s Southwest Grill are some of the merchants who will be part of the project.

College Town is set to open in Fall 2014.
