A nine-year-old boy credited with saving family members from a fire will be laid to rest Wednesday.

Tyler Doohan ran back into a burning mobile home in Penfield last week to help other family members. He didn't make it out. His grandfather and uncle also died.

Penfield Fire Chief Chris Ebmyer says the department will give Tyler the little of "honorary firefighter". They'll also present his mother with a a ceremonial helmet and lineup outside the church at attention as a sign of respect.

News10NBC also learned members of the Silver Lake College Basketball Team in Wisconsin will serve as pallbearers.
