A new study from Brigham Young University shows children who face bullying during sports and gym class are less likely to take part in physical activities.
Researchers found children of a normal weight rage are not exempt from bullying. They say both overweight children and children in the normal weight range exercised less a year after they were bullied.
Experts say the study shows the importance of implementing policies that discourage bullying based on children's physical abilities.
