She spend her spare time volunteering and helping others in need and she's News10NBC's "Do the Right Thing" winner.

Neriah Santiago spends a lot of time in the community. Not only does she volunteer with her dad at the "Open Door Mission", but she also helps with an organization her mother founded called "Operation Save A Life".

Santiago says her parents have taught her how important it is to give back to the community to help others. She says it's something we all can do to learn from and grow.

Neriah Santiago said, "We see these people as having much less than we do and I think it's important to see that. We have stuff more in common with them just sitting down sharing who you are with them, you're giving them more than enough, something more out of that experience the most."

Santiago is a senior at School of the Arts and loves to sing. She's say she's going to be an education and music major in college next year.
