Already dreaming of warmer weather? You can get in the mood of a summer escape, just by heading to downtown Rochester.
The 2014 Greater Rochester Boat Show sets sail at the Riverside Convention Center Thursday. But it's not just boats, there's also things like pickup trucks and hot tubs on display. Officials from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Coast Guard to offer boating safety classes.
If it is a boat you're looking for, organizers say there's a little something for everyone.
David Heimes, show manager, said, "There's pontoon boats, deck boats, fishing boats, yachts, cruisers, jet boats, fiberglass, aluminum, anything you basically want in boats and in the boating industry is somewhere in this building, or they have it back at their dealership."
The show goes until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00p.m. Saturday, 10:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $7 per person. Kids under 12 are free.
