Tanning bed study: Despite cancer warnings, people still tanning

Created: 01/31/2014 6:55 AM WHEC.com

Despite all the warnings about cancer, a study from the University of California-San Francisco found about six out of 10 college students and one out of five teens have tried indoor tanning at least once.

Researchers say this trend could explain why melanoma rates have been rising three-percent every year among young women.

New York State bans anyone under 16 from using tanning beds.
