A local psychiatrist arrested after police found the body of a missing man buried in his backyard in the Park Avenue area has been indicted by a grand jury.

Dr. William Lewek was indicted by a grand jury on charges of tampering with physical evidence and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Dr. Lewek was arrested earlier this month after the body of missing man, Matthew Straton, was found in his backyard. According to court documents, Lewek told police he moved the body of Straton from a third floor bedroom and tried to conceal it in the backyard. The Medical Examiner has still not ruled on how Straton died.

Dr. Lewek is free on $350,000 bond.
