A Rochester man plead guilty Friday, on drug and weapons charges.
According to U.S. Attorney William Hochul, Jacob Rivera, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 280 grams of crack cocaine and possession of a gun. The Drug charge has a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of life imprisonment, a $10,000,000 fine, or both.
The gun charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of life, which must be served in addition to the sentence Rivera receives on the drug charge.
According to the U.S. Attorney's office said that Rivera was part of the gang,"M.D.B." or "The Broezel Boys." From 2010 until June 2013.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 1 at 3:30 p.m. before Judge Geraci.
