A Pittsford man is under arrest after he was found sitting in his car in Manhattan with a loaded rifle, a machete and gasoline.

News10NBC is told he is accused of threatening to kill former President George W. Bush after professing a romantic interest in his oldest daughter, Barbara.

Secret Service agents arrested Benjamin Smith in Manhattan Friday. Officials say the 44-year-old screamed, "Bush will get his" as he was taken into custody.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies say they got a call from Smith's mother Thursday evening, saying a rifle was missing from her home and that she had found a threatening note.

This is not Smith's first brush with the law. As our I-Team previously reported, Smith was accused of an attack along the Erie Canal in Pittsford back in 2011 and was suspected of other assaults as well. He was arrested that same year for pushing his car into the Genesee River gorge.
