It's something kids want, but something that makes their parents grimace, ice cream for breakfast!
Saturday is "International Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day."
Every year, the Moonlight Creamery in Fairport invites kids to come and enjoy ice cream for breakfast to celebrate.
That's where News10NBC met the woman who is said to be the inspiration behind this local tradition.
"My mother served my brother and I ice cream when we were about four or five one Saturday morning in February and we just kept it going when we went to college, we had big ice cream parties, and now it has a life of its own,” said Ruth Kramer.
Moonlight Creamery has been doing this for 6 years. It's a fundraiser for School of the Holy Childhood.
