News10NBC has obtained the 10-count indictment against Julynn Criscuolo. She’s the former Wayne Central School District bus driver accused of driving drunk.
Julynn Criscuolo was in court Monday afternoon for her arraignment. She was arrested back in November on a slew of charges including multiple DWI charges, aggravated vehicular assault and reckless driving. Hours later, police say she crashed her own car head-on into another driver.
Criscuolo is facing a number of charges for a head-on crash that happened in October. But new charges came out accusing Criscuolo of hours before the crash, driving a school bus drunk.
The court paperwork says several students were on the bus at the time. The prosecution says a supervisor thought Criscuolo was drunk, took her to get a test at a private facility.
That test showed she was twice the legal limit. But police were not called. Instead, co-workers drove Criscuolo and her car back to her home. A few hours later, police say Criscuolo was still twice the legal limit when she crashed head-on into a car on Route 350.
News10NBC learned the school has changed their policy. Now if they believe an employee is drunk they will call police right away. School officials could still face civil charges.
Criscuolo resigned from her position a few days after the incident.
