A Fairport man charged in a wrong way crash that killed a 19-year-old woman was back in court Tuesday.

Robert Rector was indicted by a Monroe County grand jury on a number of charges including vehicular manslaughter and DWI.

Police say he was driving the wrong way on 490 near Ames Street when she crashed into an oncoming SUV and killed the driver, Khadijah McKenzie. She was 19-years-old.

In court, the district attorney's office requested that bail for Rector be increased due to the seriousness of the charges he was indicted on. The judge denied that request. Rector's lawyer says Rector is a lifelong local resident and showed up to court Thursday, which is the purpose of setting bail.
