A Farmington woman is facing charges after police say she spit in the face of a police officer.

Cheryl Behen, 51, of Farmington, is charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.

Macedon Police were called to the Empire Bar and Grill on February 1 at 11:30 p.m. for a woman attempting to hit several security guards.  When police arrived, they say Behen became very hostile and started swearing at the officers. While one of them attempted to arrest her, police say Behen spit in his face.  Police placed a spit hood over her head and she was taken into custody.

Behen was sent to the Wayne County Jail on $1,000 bail. She will return to court on February 25.
