County health confirms flu death in Monroe County

The Monroe County Health Department has confirmed to News10NBC that a person has died from the flu in Monroe County.

Officials tell News10NBC the victim was an adult between the ages of 18 and 49 years old. The health department says flu shots are still available. They are reminding people to check with their doctors, health department or local pharmacies. 

There were more than 20 flu related deaths in Monroe County last year.
