Luke Adam is going home to Newfoundland, Canada for the AHL All-Star Break. Nothing out of the ordinary for a player to visit family during that time, but Adam is back to play in the All-Star game in his hometown.
The Amerks forward has been selected to the team as an injury replacement. The 23-year-old has scored 19 goals for Rochester this season, sixth most in the league.
This is his second all-star appearance and will join teammate Brayden McNabb on the AHL squad. The all-stars will play Farjestad of the Swedish Hockey League on February 12 in Adam's hometown.
