Snow could impact morning commute

Created: 02/05/2014 5:11 AM WHEC.com

Steady snow has covered the roadways Wednesday morning with more snow expected throughout the day.

The Department of Transportation has plows out now working to salt and remove snow before rush hour begins. The DOT has about 109 trucks that cover the seven counties with 35 trucks staying in Monroe County.

We are told this is business as usual for their workers and they will be working around the clock to clear the roads while this snow is coming down.

This snow is expected to pick up as the morning goes on with the heaviest snow falling between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Give yourself extra time this morning as you make your way to work or school.
