Do you remember events as they actually happened?

You may think you will always remember the details of our important life events but a new study reveals memories just aren't that accurate.

Scientists say how we perceive the past may have more to do with how we perceive the present. Researchers at Northwestern University used scanners to observe how people noticed and recalled certain events. They found our memories are altered by present experiences so was it really love at first sight when you met your partner? Or a memory created by how you feel about him or her now?

Scientists say current emotions and experiences blur real memories from the past.
