Celebrating girls in sports with a teeter-totter marathon. That's what's going on at St. John Fisher College right now.

Students, faculty and volunteer groups are keeping the teeter totters in motion from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. It's all part of the effort to recognize and raise awareness for women in sports.

Emily Dane-Staples, Associate Professor of Sports Studies, said, "Sometimes we don't realize the finesse of women's sports. Female athletes play a different style of game in a lot of ways it's just as good, it's just as athletic and sometimes even more powerful but they just don't get the recognition because we're so used to seeing it in the men's world, but you know what? Nobody's going to complain about Abby Wambach, and she's awesome!"

The Rochester Lancers Indoor Soccer Team is also getting in on the fun as well. All the money raised will go toward the National Association for Girls and Women in Sport.
