2014 is shaping up to be a good year for the U.S. Economy. That’s the message delivered at the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School.

Charles Plosser, the CEO and President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and former Simon School dean spoke. So did an economic expert from JP Morgan Chase, James Glassman.

Plosser and Glassman talked about the current state of the economy and where it is heading in the year ahead. Both say the growth we’ve been seeing will continue.

James Glassman said, “As we think about what's coming in 2014, a lot of things that have been holding us back seem to be clearing so there's reason to be optimistic about 2014.”

Glassman says Rochester, in particular, has seen strong growth when it comes to getting people back to work.
