Rochester firefighters spent part of Wednesday evening battling a fire at a building on Lyell Avenue.

Crews were called to the building just east of Mount Read Boulevard just before 5 p.m.

The Deputy Chief on scene said crews fought the fire from the outside of the building, because of the type of building it was.

News10NBC is told there were some people working inside when the fire broke out, but they all made it out safely.

The Deputy Chief said the cause appears to be accidental. He says some cars and tools inside burned and the building will probably have to be inspected.
