Do you watch the Biggest Loser? It’s a show on News10NBC where real life people, who are overweight, complete to see who can lose the most weight. They work with trainers and nutritionists.

Lately, a lot of people have been talking about the latest winner and not for a good reason. They say she’s too skinny.

Her name is Rachel Frederickson and a lot of jaws dropped when she stepped on the scale for the final show. When she started the competition nearly seven months ago, she weighed 260 pounds. By the end of it, she’s 105 pounds. She lost nearly 60 percent of her body weight.

Immediately after the reveal, people took to Facebook and Twitter, saying she took it too far and looks too skinny. Even trainers on the show, Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels looked shocked and not in a good way.

Rachel’s trainer, Atlanta fitness guru Dolvett Quince responded to criticism on Facebook. He says, “Please try not to look at one slice of Rachel’s journey and come to broad conclusions. Rachel’s health is and always has been my main concern and her journey to good health has not yet ended.”

According to U.S. Weekly, Rachel Frederickson said Tuesday night, “I’ve never felt this great and it’s very exciting. Now I’m really at maintenance mode.”

On Twitter, a viewer wrote, “Rachel’s not healthy. Not something we should be rewarding. Her BMI is 18. That’s underweight.”

A former contestant is also concerned. Kim Nielsen writes, “I thought I was too skinny at the Biggest Loser Finale. That was ridiculous.”

Frederickson is 5’4” and 105 pounds. Health officials say her height-weight ratio puts her slightly below what doctors would consider “healthy”, according to the BMI or Body Mass Index scale. People defending her say she was competing for $250,000 and now that she’s won that, they think she’ll get to a healthier weight over time.
