It's one of the biggest chef competitions taking place in cities around the world and on Saturday it was going on right here in Rochester.
It's called Battledish. Foodies from across the area were invited to vote with their taste buds for their favorite of six different chef creations.
Even News10NBC’s own Amanda Ciavarri was on hand as a guest judge Saturday.
News10NBC spoke with one of the competitors Saturday afternoon.
"It's nice because it gets the community out. It's focusing on small businesses within this strip right here on Park Avenue, so it's great to have a wave of new people coming here who maybe never though they would walk into a place like this,” said Damaris Pinedo, owner of Just Juice 4 Life.
The Rochester event runs in conjunction with events across the country. About 50 chefs are involved in the competition nationwide.
