Rochester Police say the driver involved in a single-vehicle crash may have been drinking beforehand.

Officers were called to Thurston Road near Flanders Street around 2 a.m. for a report of a crash.

When they arrived, they found a 33-year-old man who was trapped in his van, which was on its side. Firefighters were able to remove the man from the vehicle and he was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers believe the driver was headed southbound on the road, when he hit a tree and rolled his van onto its side.

Police say alcohol was likely a factor and charges are pending.
