Hundreds of people from across the area braved the cold Sunday to be part of an amazing wintertime spectacle.
It was all part of Rochester Institute of Technology's 29th annual "Big Shot."
More than 500 volunteers, including both current RIT students and alumni, were on hand to help light up High Falls.
The city helped by turning off lights along the Genesee River and on the nearby streets.
This year's photo was a 30-second extended exposure.
RIT's "Big Shot" project started back in 1987 as a way to teach students about flash photography.
