State Police say two people are facing charges in connection with illegally owning a monkey.

According to investigators, 47-year-old Mark Galioto and 56-year-old Dara Jennings lied on a form to buy the animal. We're told the monkey has been seized from their house in Java, Wyoming County.

Troopers say remains of a red tail hawk were also found at the house which investigators say was also illegally purchased.

Both have been released with appearance tickets.
