Rochester Police were called to the University of Rochester campus to investigate six suspicious packages Wednesday afternoon.

Police say an unknown person entered into the Post Office/Mailroom of the UR campus, attempting to mail off six packages. The U.S. Postal Inspector responded to the scene and took custody of packages for further investigation. Police later found that the packages were not hazardous and have since been mailed.

School officials say there was no threat to the safety or health of those in or near Todd Union, which is near the postal center on campus.
