Retrotech, a local engineering services firm, has outgrown its Victor facility and will expand in Henrietta and add new jobs. Governor Andrew Cuomo made the announcement Thursday morning.
News10NBC is told the company looked at locations in Chicago but ultimately chose to remain in New York. The move to Henrietta means the retention of 87 jobs and 23 new positions.
“Retrotech’s decision to expand operations in the Rochester area will create new economic opportunity in the region, including more than 20 new jobs for the community,” Governor Cuomo said. “The company’s decision to expand here in New York was an easy one thanks to the state’s high quality and experienced workforce, low operation costs and a strong network among the region’s companies and higher education institutions. Today more businesses are choosing to grow in New York State, adding private investment and new jobs while proving that there is no better place to do business than the Empire State.”
Since 1985, Retrotech has provided exceptional project management and technical expertise combined with unparalleled design, installation, modernization, and support of automated material handling and order fulfillment/e-commerce systems.
