Todd Williams was nominated by his former principal for the Do the Right Thing Award. Last year, he saw another student with a weapon and told the principal. School leaders were able to locate the student and the weapon.

Williams’ principal says she was extremely proud of him because he had struggled with making the right choices before, but has since grown tremendously. Williams says that’s why he now has a message to other students.

Todd Williams, “Do the Right Thing” winner, said, “Here's an important message to kids out there if you know some kids who are violent or out there doing or doing stuff that you know they're not supposed to try not to be nowhere near those people, try to be someone better than them or try to show them how to do the right thing.”

Williams is now a fifth grader at Rochester Prep School.
