He’s a high school senior and already has his college major nailed down for next year, but his bravery is the reason why he’s one of News10NBC’s “Do the Right Thing” winners.

Steven Edwards says he was leaving Math class when he noticed two girls fighting the hallway. Edwards says a large group had gathered with them, but he was able to get through and break up the fight.

School leaders say he separated the students until the school's security guard arrived.

Edwards said, “I don't want to see nobody get hurt whether it is sports or any kind of activity cause you never want to see nobody get hurt.”

Edwards attends East High School and he says next year, he plans to attend college and major in sports medicine.
