A Rochester man, whose company paid back more than $11.5 million in back taxes was sentenced for tax fraud Friday.

Sixty five-years-old John Gizzi was ordered to a year on home confinement, five years probation and a $15,000 fine. Investigators say Gizzi owned and managed several operations including a corporation called "Rochester Machinery Suppliers."

The U.S. Attorney's Office say Gizzi misused those operations to conceal income and inflate expenses through several schemes. One of them involved nearly $2 million in scrap metal sales which was not reported on tax returns.
