Some students are giving up their February recess and heading back to class. On Tuesday, News10NBC got a look inside the Red Cross’s Leadership Program.

All week high schools students are coming together to learn valuable lessons including resume writing and interviewing skills. News10NBC spoke with one of the students Tuesday afternoon.

Brian Santana, East High School student, said, “When you talked to people and you start being nervous you have like a confidence in you and you can talk to them without being scared and they see your confident and they feel trust in you.”

The program also includes helping students develop a career path and provide them with CPR training.
