IRS: Have your tax return direct deposited

Created: 02/19/2014 6:24 AM WHEC.com

The IRS is encouraging taxpayers to have their refunds deposited directly into their bank accounts.
Officials say there is no risk of your check being stolen or lost in the mail and you can split your refund between two or three accounts, just follow the directions on your tax software or forms.
The number of filings so far this year is outpacing last year. As of February 7, the IRS reported more than 27-million tax returns. More than 95-percent were filed electronically.
