A Rochester man is facing charges after he led police on a chase early Wednesday morning.

State Police say they attempted to stop a car just off the Inner Loop on Scio Street in Rochester, but it sped away. Police chased the car until it eventually stopped on Sherer Street. Police say the driver, 35-year-old Donald Hoskins, got out of car and became combative with police. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody.

Hoskins was arrested for felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful fleeing a police officer, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest. He was sent to the Monroe County Jail.

A passenger in the vehicle, Derrick White, 26, of Rochester, was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana and released on an appearance ticket.
