News10NBC has an update on the new transportation terminal downtown, called the RTS Transit Center.

Members from the Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority were on hand Wednesday, along with Rochester Police officers from the downtown office in the Sibley Building.

They discussed updates on the project, and also talked about security and patrols.

The new terminal, located on Mortimer Street, will be indoors. It will be heated and will include lockers and bathrooms.

The project is in its final stages and is expected to open next year.
