A worker contracted to do electrical work at a plant on Emerson Street was burned after a wire arced in front of him.

Rochester Fire Department says the worker was burned in his face and arm and was taken to Strong Hospital, but was awake and talking while firefighters were taking care of him at the scene.

It happened at a company called Advanced Glass Industry, an optics plant.
