It’s a project to benefit the economy and the planet. Governor Cuomo was at Eastman Business Park to announce $3 million in state funding for a bioscience plant there.

The 60,000 square foot facility will cost a total of $25-million dollars to build. It will work to convert non-food plant materials into both biofuels and biochemicals. While it's good for the environment, the governor says it's just as good for our area.

Governor Andrew Cuomo said, “It's expected to create hundreds of new jobs and a new cluster industry in a new cluster economy right here at the Eastman Business Park.”
