Men to stand up against heart disease with "Red Dress Walk"

There will be an unusual parade in downtown Rochester Friday.

A group of men wearing red dresses will be walking across the Main Street Bridge at noon.

The event is the result of a fundraising drive involving two businesses, the Pike Co. and LECESSE Construction.
Employees pledged money to the American Heart Association in the name of a co-worker, and the employees with the most funds raised will dress up for Friday's "Red Dress Walk".

This is the seventh year of the "Red Dress Walk" campaign. The teams have raised more than $55,000 for the cause.

The fundraiser is part of "Go Red for Women", a campaign to raise awareness about heart disease.
