He's known by his peers as being energetic and funny, but he’s known by his sister as a hero.

Cosmo Lucania is News10NBC’s “Do the Right Thing” winner. Lucania’s sister began having a seizure when he called 911 for help. Officials say he also gave the young girl juice while they waited for the ambulance along with their mother. His sister was then diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

News10NBC spoke with Lucania Monday morning and he says he enjoys helping others.

Cosmo Lucania said, “I feel good. I feel that she can handle it better with us knowing what to do and us knowing what to do when I’m home alone with her. I feel good that I know what to do now.”

Lucania is a fourth grader at Webster’s Plank Road South Elementary School.
