A Honeoye man is facing charges after state police say he violated an order of protection, took his children without permission and then used drugs in front of them.

Randy L. Pickett, 29, of Honeoye, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, criminal contempt, criminal possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police say Pickett took his three-year-old and four-year-old children without the mother’s knowledge, violating an order of protection that says he can't see his kids. Police say Pickett was reportedly impaired by drugs and continued to use drugs while the kids were in his care.

Troopers also found marijuana and hashish from Pickett’s apartment.
