RGH celebrates new surgical short-stay unit

One of our local hospitals is celebrating a new unit they say will help better serve patients being treated after surgery.    

Rochester General Hospital unveiled its new surgical short-stay unit. The unit is just for patients who will be in the hospital for 23 hours or less after undergoing surgery. It’s made up of 12 state-of-the-art private rooms, complete with new furniture to make sure family members are comfortable while staying with patients.

The short-stay unit will open to patients on Thursday.
