Thousands of students at RIT got a jump start on the next step after college. The school hosted its annual career fair Wednesday.

The event brings in employers from across the country to help students find paid internships and full time jobs. Some of the companies looking to hire RIT students include Apple, IBM, Microsoft and Amazon.

Alexandra Harrison, sophomore, RIT, said, "It just gives you a lot of opportunity to meet people. You can apply online to lots of places and it's just not as good as talking to a person face to face.”

Alumni looking for a career change are also invited to the career fairs. They're held twice a year. The next one will be in October.
